Am I dreaming this up or did there used to be a forum thread or board in the Marketplace that was titled something like "Almost Free" or something like that?
Yes, there was (is)?
My question is, are the more complicated UHFs softer/downier compared to the less complex patterns like buffalo check? Just an observation from the shirts in my collection.

Thank you for confirming that I didn't dream this up. @neph93 or @Giles , can you help me locate the subject thread or board?
-
Thank you @Giles. I figured that might have been the case.

Wasn't sure where I should post this, as I didn't see a forum tech help thread — that said, might've totally overlooked it, so please feel free to point me there if I did!
Has anyone had a hard time with the way the forum threads PMs? Last night/this morning I got messages from three users about a pair of jeans I have posted for sale. They were all basically asking for measurements, so after replying to each, I went and measured, then wrote them all back again to let them know I'd updated the thread.
This is where it got messy — I responded in the wrong order, even accidentally responded to myself once. The problems is that when you click on a message, it doesn't open up that conversation, but rather just all of your conversations.
Needless to say, my convos with these people was a bit of a shitshow, and I'm sure I sounded like a crazy person.
Is there any way to reformat this on my end, like configuring view or something? Or is Tapatalk better? FWIW I pretty much mostly check the forum via my laptop browser.

Thanks @sabergirl — I imagine it's just a quirk of the forum software. I'll definitely have to be careful in the future, just wanna make sure if I have a few replies on an item, I give dibs to the person who got in contact first.
-
I have no issues, but then I use it multiple times per day.
Click on "My Messages"
Click on the message you want to respond to
This will open up the latest messages, with the one you want to reply to, at the top
Click "Reply" or "Reply all" at the top of that messageNew forum software will likely be implemented in the next 6 months or so (one or two more pressing IT things to sort out first), it will be a lot more intuitive, "current" and mobile friendly…..

Tapatalk can be frustrating with the worst issues being notification lags and problems with tagging.
As for the desktop version, it is old and clunky but it works. Your issue is relying on email notifications and corresponding via them. If you conduct correspondence direct from the message function it is less troublesome.
I have email notifications turned off as I find them useless and intrusive. I rely on Tapatalk notifications and refreshing the forum on permanemtly open tabs in Safari, either on my iMac or telephone.

@Anesthetist, I’m not sure pattern has anything to do with it, my 156 burgundy and my purple 130 are very soft and as you know one is a plain weave and one is an ombré. My buffalo checks are definitely the thickest and heaviest of all of them and they become rather stiff for a bit after a wash but do soften in time but never get quite as soft as some of my others.
My newest UHF the green 311 is without a doubt the softest UHF I’ve had out of the bag unworn and unwashed. I think I read that you said your 309 what crazy soft. I’m guessing something changed with the brushing. It definitely feels different than the others.

Thanks, y'all — I'm psyched to check out the new forum software when it lands.
In the meantime I'll just reframe the way I view the messages when I open them up — might take some practice to get out of my old mindset but it'll be alright

Does this mean that double-weave cords are coming back?! https://www.instagram.com/harakisan/p/CY3p8FMPiod/?utm_medium=copy_link

When I was first getting into Iron Heart there were some Corduroy 634s,but I had just bought some jeans, and I thought well,I’ll get them next year. But there was no next year,as they were never made again. That was when I started paying attention, an Iron Heart epiphany of sorts.

The the surprise of no one, I'll weigh in that those jeans are awesome. I feel like they were slim for 634 but personally enjoy the cut, and love love love the fabric. An olive pair could tempt me. A CPO and chore jacket out of the double weave cord would be pretty sweet.

It depends upon the weave and colours used, some dyes make the yarn stuffer than others. The IHSH-302 and 312 were woven and brushed at a different mill than all the other UHFs.
But in general, making clothes out of natural materials is not a science. Not all sheep, cows, horses, deer etc are the same. Not all cotton is the same, think of it like how terroir changes the character of a wine, the same is true of cotton.

Hello guys. Its been along time since my last pear of IHs which were the 301s and for some reason I’m itching to get into a new pear. I was recently looking into the 555s super slims either in the indigo or the super slim superblack. My 301s are a size 27 so I was looking at a size 28. Only thing is that I’m not really the tallest out of the bunch and measuring my inseam at a 25.. I was wondering if anyone out there can let me know if trimming down the inseam will effect the hem length. I basically just cuffed my 301s when I wore em all the time back in the day. Thank you!
