I called usps last week and spoke to someone in International mail division. They don’t have any updates, but she referred back to the original 25 and 30 day (US and Germany) time period to hear back on an open case. That date will arrive at the end of this month and if it still isn’t resolved they will “escalate” the issue.
I’m working my ass off to figure this out and I’m more than frustrated.

@trail and arrow I hope that you recover from Covid soon, and I must apologise on behalf of my countrymen if it was the nasty, British variant.
@jordanscollected fingers crossed that Mad Red re-emerges. If not, there will be a very cool UPS guy wandering around in it.

Another call to USPS, and yet another disappointing result. They have no further information about the jacket right now. What they did do, however, is "escalate" my already opened case. I am supposed to hear something within 5-7 business days.
Here is the email I got from them just after the call.

Two days ago, a letter from german custom arrived…
... I should come in person to catch the MRMF** up, but „Please contact us at First“ ...
... you guess, ………it was impossible to contact them :-).There is the german word „Posse“ in there!
German rules changed this month... all imports from outside the EU will be charged!!We will see on monday ;-).
