Bought, black, M.
Very nice combination: water resistant, cotton, breathable, very nice cut.
Thats will be me all day jacket, also for cycling on rainy days or hiking, climbing, and so on.

Please don't expect this jacket to perform like athletic wear. Cotton is cotton, no matter how tightly woven. If it gets wet it won't keep you warm and will take a long time to dry. If you are in the wilderness or stuck on a rock face in cold rain you could be in for an unpleasant or even life-threatening experience.
By the way, I'm not hating on this jacket. If I didn't have too many jackets already I would have bought the black one as well.

Thx DrPat.
Ok. I know that I can't wear jacket while an serveral days outdoor trip. But if I should get in an short time rain event, it should withstand.
My other ih jackets would maybe work as an sponge?
I will try it and come back to report. -
Any estimate on the weight of this jacket?
And does it fade? -
Thanks G.

Thanks Graeme. I was both hoping and expecting that but I just didn’t know.
I also noticed chest size is a little small compared to the rest…

These have those pleated, bi-curious (or whatever) shoulders though, don’t they? This gives more room than measurements suggest. Based on a comparison with my 13.5oz riders jacket (the chest measurements also seemed provibitive on that) I’d go XL in this as I did with that. I’m an XL in shirts.

Ventile wins! -
Nice, Chris.
It seems you can have a high degree of mobility without bi-swing pleats… I guess it just depends on the cut and fabric. I have a jacket that is made of a similar fabric (Epic cotton, which is basically ventile with DWR integrated into the threads) and affords completely universal mobility without shoulder seams or pleats. I think that its block was inspired by karate-gi, which certainly don't constrain motion or have pleats.

Glad you got one @Chris. Do you have any other fit pics?
It is an awesome jacket but the shoulder does restrict movement on me. It is perfect everywhere but the shoulder feels snug despite the measurements.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If I remember correctly, @Anesthetist, we have similar builds, though I'm heavier (6'0", 180 lbs). I went with size XL, my usual size for IH shirts. I don't consider it especially constricting, but it's definitely a slim fit and it took a few wears to acclimate to that fit. I can't imagine trying to squeeze into a Large, though. If I could alter one thing, it would be the forearms- they're a bit snug on me, but I'll admit that it's because I'm a bit Popeye-ish. I often have that issue with IH sleeves, usually just the cut and sewn stuff, but occasionally shirts and jackets. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the jacket and I've been wearing it daily for the past few weeks- it rains virtually every day now, and the temperatures dropped below 85. Yay for Texas "winter"?
