Anybody notice the dye staining white T?
I never noticed any crocking onto white tees with my IHSH-178. Nor have I noticed it with OD jeans onto white sneakers.
Seriously? I feel like I have indigo transfer on pretty much everything I own…I don't own the 293 (yet, must resist temptation :D) but I gotta think it would probably drop a bit, or a lot on a white T. Or anything else for that matter.
From regular indigo, sure, but never from OD. And I have had a lot of OD.
Thanks buddy yeah for sure Indigo I’ve stained some nice t’s lol … but with this I bring out the good stuff lol

I think it looks great @Richard as is. You will have zero layering ability with a size M, and you will get some softening and maybe the tiniest amount of shrink with a wash that will perfect the fit. I bet it feels weirder and roomier across the chest than reality due to the stiff fabric and the heavy chest pockets.
-
@Richard the fit looks really good. The shoulders and length are perfect. The sleeves look a bit long but will shorten up once you put creases in them. It's hard for me to judge the chest with your arms at your side but I wouldn't say it look too big.
Regarding layering, you have to decide if you want a shirt or a jacket. You can't have one size that serves both purposes.

Looks like you've violated the first law of denim, the conservation of indigo If it fades, the indigo has got to go somewhere.

I’m thinking proceed with caution lol with the OD I definitely think less or none ish

Clearly it must… but given that indigo jeans continue to fade indefinitely, and crocking stops after one or two washes, the law obviously lacks nuance.

I wore a white band tee under mine all night last night. No bleed, granted it was about 60F outside and I'm not a sweaty dude.

Just came in. Glad i didnt go 3xl and i got the 4xl. I can deal with the long sleeves. The 3xl would of been way too tight. Awesome shirt. Bravo IH

Thanks! Those are actually 888XHS. I also thought they came out looking like the OD! Bad lighting, I guess.

These are the same copper buttons. But they used to do the overdye first, without the buttons, and then add the copper buttons on afterward all shiny. At some point (it was mentioned in the forum for either the 99 or the 178 when it happened) they decided to put the buttons on first so they get dyed and oxidize on the surface from the sulphur. So they aren't silver buttons, but copper buttons that have been affected on the surface.

Thanks for the info! But what do you guys think of "upgrading" to the non oxidized version. That copper tone looks really nice. Would be kinda cool to have a tribute to 99
