IHJ-79-BLK - Primaloft® Gold Quilted Riders Jacket - Black

To be fair though you can have hoods built in fairly unobstructively; think M-65 where the hood is rolled into a similar stand-up collar to that on this garment, for instance. Or, I have a jacket with an optional hood that snaps on.
I'm not in the market for this piece but the idea could have merit.

After seeing all of these comments I understand where Giles and Motojobobo are coming from. This is made as a riders jacket for riders. People who don't ride can wear it, but the designs that a non-rider would think it should have, just plain won't be there and never will be.
Iron Heart doesn't typically bring in many of them and from what I'm seeing in inventory, they ordered more for this season. I just asked my wife for one. Getting one will depend on how "wedding anniversary" gift this actually is.
-
Yeah, they're definitely not wrong–but not all riders wear helmets either.

@jordanscollected good luck with your “anniversary “ present . I may try the same tactic as this jacket is very high on the want list. Problem for me is I have to wait until August for this to work. Also, have a Rab Equipment jacket that utilizes the same insulation and it is unbelievably warm, especially for the weight.
Im thinking true to size for this piece, yes? -
@SKT I believe a lot of the IH outwear is true to size or size down. I am an XL in IH shirts, and I would take a large in this jacket and I have a large in my N1 vest. The best way to dig in, is to find the IHUK staff member closest to your size and compare what size they would wear
-
@jordanscollected I am smack between a medium and large with this piece. I just need to decide if I want some room underneath for layers. I’ll be interested in how you find the large when you pull the trigger so update if you get the chance

Finally placed an order to see what all the hype is about

This jacket is great. It‘s light and VERY warm, excellent protection against wind and good against some light rain. @neph93 XL fits trim for me, ok for layering with a tee, a longsleeve and a shirt underneath. More would be to tight. Guess you, having a more pronounced upper body volume than me, might prefer going for XXL.

Thank you very much N. I was going to ask how it went. I felt like I would be between an L and an XL, but I’m looking at wearing it over a base layer and putting my IHV-22-OLV over it. It will be my new everyday winter set up.
If anyone accuses me of copying a certain Shinichi Haraki, then I’m not going to be able to deny it in good faith [emoji1]
Anyway, after some top quality help from @Graham, I decided on an XL and it should be here in a few days. Sounds like I may have made the right choice.

That is a great look from the Boss. Looking forward to seeing you rock-it Reuban @neph93 .
Will you be growing your hair aswell?
